Ashley Garrigan is an Instructional Designer in the Office of Digital Learning. She holds a B.A. in Political Science and a M.Ed. in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). Her background in education influences her approach to instructional design, as she strives to develop courses and trainings that are instructionally sound, learner-centered, engaging, and thoughtful about language use.
Ashley comes to ODL from Arizona State University, where she worked as part of a team developing online language and training courses. She also taught international students in ASU’s Intensive English Program. Prior to that, she coordinated community education programs in Michigan and served as an English teacher in the Peace Corps (Romania).
Outside the office, Ashley enjoys spending time with friends, traveling, volunteering, and finding the best places to eat in Tucson. Feel free to e-mail her with your restaurant recommendations.
